On April 28, Business Insider reported that Tesla has long marketed its electric vehicles with the selling point of 'achieving autonomous driving in the future.' However, vehicles manufactured before 2023 and equipped with Hardware 3 computers cannot achieve fully unsupervised Full Self-Driving (FSD). Musk stated that Tesla will offer these car owners the option of 'trade-in at a discounted price' or to replace their computers and cameras at 'microfactories' in major cities.
