Toyota Hainan Travel Co., Ltd. has officially declared that, commencing on May 6, 2026, it will proceed with a recall campaign targeting certain imported LX600 vehicles manufactured within the period from August 1, 2023, to July 19, 2024. The total number of affected units stands at 351. Owing to production-related concerns, the occupant sensing sensor integrated into the front passenger seat adjuster of some vehicles may encroach upon adjacent components. This interference has the potential to result in an erroneous assessment of the front passenger airbag deployment mechanism, thereby elevating the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. In response, the company has committed to replacing the affected seat adjuster assemblies with qualified replacements free of charge, as a measure to eradicate any potential safety risks.
