Recently, Tesla has implemented stringent measures to combat the practice of 'FSD jailbreaking.' Late last month, it emerged that Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) functionality had been compromised using open-source technology. This allowed vehicle owners to circumvent official authorization and activate the feature by merely connecting a development board, costing just a few dozen yuan, to the vehicle's Controller Area Network (CAN) bus. This loophole was primarily exploited by owners who were unable to legally utilize the feature due to delays in local certification processes.

Following the revelation of this incident, Tesla issued a stern warning to vehicle owners, stating that if any illegal modifications are detected, their service privileges will be immediately revoked. The official statement further emphasized that Tesla reserves the right to deny warranty services if signs of vehicle modification are identified, and in the event of an accident, the liability will rest solely with the users. In South Korea, such actions have already been deemed criminal offenses.

Moreover, connecting a development board privately could potentially lead to a loss of vehicle control. Additionally, the cracked version of FSD is not tailored to local road conditions, making it inadvisable for owners to attempt cracking and using it independently.
