CAAM: Tesla China’s February Electric Vehicle Exports Surge to 20,000 Units, Soaring 4.2 Times Year-on-Year

On March 11, data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) revealed notable export performances among the top ten enterprises exporting complete vehicles in February. Chery led the pack with 124,000 vehicles exported, marking a 44.1% year-on-year increase and accounting for 18.5% of the total exports. Tesla, however, stood out with the fastest export growth, shipping 20,000 electric vehicles—a staggering 4.2-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
From January to February, Chery maintained its strong export momentum, delivering 243,000 vehicles, up 45.6% year-on-year, and capturing 18% of the total export market. Meanwhile, Geely also demonstrated significant growth, exporting 156,000 vehicles, which represented a 1.5-times increase over the previous year.
