CAAM Data Reveals: 1.672 Million Vehicles Produced and 1.805 Million Sold in February

On March 11, data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) indicated that in February, the automobile industry witnessed the production of 1.672 million vehicles and the sale of 1.805 million vehicles. This reflected a month-on-month decrease of 31.7% in production and 23.1% in sales, along with a year-on-year decline of 20.5% and 15.2%, respectively. From January to February, the cumulative production and sales volumes reached 4.122 million and 4.152 million units, marking a year-on-year decrease of 9.5% and 8.8%, respectively.

Specifically, domestic vehicle sales in February stood at 1.133 million units, experiencing a month-on-month drop of 32% and a year-on-year decline of 32.9%. Among them, traditional fuel vehicle sales reached 650,000 units, with a month-on-month decrease of 36.4% and a year-on-year decrease of 29.9%. The cumulative domestic vehicle sales from January to February amounted to 2.799 million units, showing a year-on-year decrease of 23.1%, with traditional fuel vehicle sales at 1.673 million units, down by 19.8% year-on-year.
