Following the release of Stellantis Group's financial report, the definitive global automotive sales rankings for 2025 have now been confirmed. Toyota has clinched the top position for the sixth year running, with a remarkable 11,322,600 units sold. Volkswagen Group follows closely behind in second place, having sold 8,984,000 units, while Hyundai-Kia secures the third spot with 7,274,000 units sold. Notably, three Chinese automakers—BYD, Geely, and SAIC Motor—have made it onto the list, ranking fifth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.
In particular, BYD achieved an impressive feat by selling 4,602,400 units throughout the year, earning it the title of the world's top seller of pure electric vehicles. Meanwhile, Geely's total sales exceeded 4 million units for the first time, marking the highest growth rate globally.
