The Legal Department of Xiaomi Group has announced that the self-media account “AutoReport Automotive Industry” (encompassing both “AutoReport Automotive Industry” and “AutoReport Automotive Industry and Economy”) has been mandated to pay 5 million yuan in damages to Xiaomi for infringement. The officially certified entity operating this account is Beijing Yiche Interactive Advertising Co., Ltd. Reports have surfaced indicating that the actual controller behind this entity may be Li Bin, the founder of NIO.
On the evening of the 25th, Ma Lin, Vice President of NIO, issued a response clarifying that the account implicated in the lawsuit is entirely owned by Beijing Yiche Information Technology Co., Ltd. He further stated that Li Bin divested his relevant shares in 2020 and currently has no affiliation with the entity operating the account in question.
