Tesla CEO Elon Musk has once again confirmed that the Cybercab will commence initial production in April 2026, and the model will not be equipped with pedals or a steering wheel. Over the past six months, he has explicitly mentioned this production timeline three times, a relatively rare occurrence. Previously, Tesla has repeatedly failed to meet its production schedules as planned, but Musk stated that Tesla tested the Cybercab's production system in December 2025, with the production ramp-up plan set to begin in April 2026. In January this year, he also mentioned that production capacity would grow along an S-curve. The Cybercab will become a key component of Tesla's future autonomous ride-hailing plan.
