From February 9 to 13, Shanghai played host to the 19th Informal Working Group Meeting and the 14th Workshop of the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29), which centered on Automated Driving Systems (ADS). This significant event was commissioned by the World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. It was meticulously organized by the Standardization Administration, received strong support from the Shanghai International Automobile City, and was guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

During the meeting, comprehensive reports on the progress of regulations were presented. There were in-depth discussions on the draft explanatory document for automated driving regulations, and participants engaged in fruitful exchanges of views on a multitude of topics. Notably, the technical proposals concerning DDT (Dynamic Driving Task) and human-machine interaction, which were put forth by China, garnered widespread attention from the international community. These proposals showcased China's active participation and valuable contributions to the global discourse on automated driving systems.
