Mercedes-Benz (China) Investment Co., Ltd. has announced a series of personnel changes in management positions within its joint ventures. Duan Jianjun, President and CEO of Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd., will depart from his role for personal reasons. Starting from March 1, 2026, he will serve as a strategic advisor until his tenure concludes on April 30. Since joining Mercedes-Benz Sales in 2013, Duan has made significant contributions to the brand's development in China. Li Desi, the current Executive Vice President of Sales, will assume the role of President and CEO starting March 1. He brings extensive experience, with a quarter of his career dedicated to the Chinese market. Zhang Mingxia will take over as Executive Vice President of Sales at Mercedes-Benz Sales on April 1, following her outstanding achievements during her tenure at the smart joint venture. Additionally, Kang Yi, the current Head of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Automotive Finance Co., Ltd., will be assigned to the smart joint venture on April 1 to serve as Global Chief Marketing Officer and other roles. As one of the core drivers of the brand's electrification transformation, he is expected to further advance the business of the smart joint venture.
