China’s independently developed next-generation 6×6 wheeled “Snow Leopard” vehicle has successfully concluded a rigorous 10,000-kilometer testing and validation expedition across the Antarctic interior, marking a significant leap forward in bridging China’s technological gap in polar inland wheeled transportation. Over the course of a 75-day mission, this all-wheel-drive, six-wheeled marvel thoroughly evaluated its core performance metrics—including traversability, stability, and safety—across five distinct Antarctic terrains: sea ice, gravel, soft snow, compacted snow, and solid ice.
