Li Bin, the founder of NIO, has declared that by 2026, the company will set up 1,000 more battery swap stations, thereby expanding the number of power replenishment routes to 100. This year, NIO has ambitious plans to open up the battery swap route along the historic Silk Road and undertake large-scale construction of fifth-generation battery swap stations. Additionally, Firefly users will gain access to battery swap services. At precisely 22:33:18 on February 6, NIO achieved a significant milestone by completing 100 million battery swaps. From the inaugural battery swap to reaching this remarkable feat, it took a total of 2,819 days. Over the past 11 years, NIO has invested a substantial sum of over RMB 18 billion in the charging and battery swap sector, securing more than 2,100 patents in the process. Presently, NIO's daily battery swap service volume has surpassed 100,000 times, solidifying battery swapping as the mainstream solution for power replenishment in new energy vehicles. Since the establishment of its first battery swap station in May 2018, NIO has accomplished this milestone in less than 8 years, averaging over 12 million battery swaps annually. The owner of the 100 millionth battery swap is Mr. Ma from Hangzhou. Li Bin will connect with him on the App and reward him with 100,000 points.
