Today, a trial commenced at the Haidian District People's Court in Beijing, involving automotive blogger Gao Ruoxiang, known on Bilibili as 'It's Xiangxiang' and boasting over a million followers. He stands accused of the crime of damaging the reputation of a commodity. In August 2024, Gao's team posted a collision test video pitting the Xiaomi SU7 against the Zeekr 007, alleging that the test incurred costs nearing one million yuan. The video quickly garnered widespread attention upon its release. However, Xiaomi Group raised concerns over certain questionable elements within the video. In response, Gao's team made edits to the video and issued a public apology. Following an investigation by the Haidian Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, the case was forwarded to the procuratorate, which subsequently initiated public prosecution proceedings on the grounds of damaging the reputation of a commodity.
