The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that Volvo Cars, the renowned Swedish automaker, is set to recall 413,151 vehicles across the United States. The reason for this recall is the potential for malfunctions in the rearview cameras of these vehicles. To rectify the issue, the relevant software will be updated, either through dealerships or via complimentary over-the-air updates. Volvo has confirmed that this recall specifically targets the 2021 - 2025 XC40 models. Notably, this marks the second time this particular model has been recalled in the same market for the same rearview camera problem, with the initial recall having taken place in May 2025.
