Based on data provided by the Passenger Car Market Information Joint Conference Branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association, preliminary statistics reveal that, spanning from December 1 to December 31, 2025, the retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles in the national market soared to 1.387 million units. This marks a 7% increase compared to the same period in the previous year and a 5% rise from the preceding month. The cumulative retail sales since the start of the year have reached 12.859 million units, reflecting an 18% year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, during this same timeframe, the wholesale volume of new energy vehicles by national passenger vehicle manufacturers stood at 1.554 million units. This indicates a 3% increase year-on-year but a 9% decrease month-on-month. The cumulative wholesale volume since the beginning of the year has climbed to 15.31 million units, representing a 25% year-on-year surge.
