According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, General Motors is recalling 81,177 model-year 2025 - 2026 Equinox electric vehicles. The reason is that the pedestrian warning sound system fails to produce sufficient volume variations when the vehicle is either stationary or moving at low speeds.
