On January 6th, tech news outlet The Verge reported that Sony Honda Mobility (SHM)—a collaborative venture between Sony and Honda—revealed at CES that its Afeela 1 electric vehicle, priced at $90,000, will begin deliveries in the United States by the end of 2026. Additionally, SHM presented a concept SUV that will inform the design of its mass-produced counterpart, slated for release in 2028. The Afeela 1 is currently undergoing trial production at Honda’s Ohio facility, with plans to launch in the Japanese market in early 2027.
