Recently, it was announced that beginning January 1, 2026, BMW China will make adjustments to the recommended retail prices of 31 of its key models. Specifically, 24 of these models will experience price cuts exceeding 10%, 5 models will see price reductions surpassing 20%, and certain models will have official price cuts of over RMB 300,000. On January 3, BMW China issued a response, clarifying that this price adjustment entails revising the official suggested prices of certain products. However, the final transaction prices will continue to be set independently by dealers, and the move does not signify BMW's participation in a price war. BMW underscored that this price adjustment is a proactive step taken in response to evolving market conditions. The goal is to fine-tune product strategies, lower the entry barrier for potential buyers, and bolster brand appeal and market competitiveness.
