On December 31, 2025, a photo surfaced online depicting Chery's Chairman Yin Tongyue alongside Dreame's Chen Longdong. This fueled speculation that the two entities had inked a strategic cooperation pact concerning the Jetour Traveler model. In direct reaction, on January 1, 2026, Chery once again dispelled these rumors, clarifying that no such cooperation agreement had been formalized. Earlier, on December 29, Chery had already debunked whispers of a potential collaboration with Dreame aimed at developing the Jetour G700, which was rumored to include plans for launching a new vehicle in the first quarter of 2026. Notably, Dreame Technology made headlines in August 2025 by announcing its ambitious entry into the automotive manufacturing sector. Its maiden ultra-luxury all-electric vehicle is poised to challenge the likes of the Bugatti Veyron, with a grand unveiling slated for 2027.
