The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, along with three other governmental departments, has jointly released the Implementation Plan for Digital Transformation in the Automotive Industry. This initiative is designed to expedite the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across critical processes within the automotive sector. The plan advocates for the thorough integration of AI technologies into various stages, including research and development (R&D), design, production, manufacturing, and operational management. It encourages the construction of large-scale models tailored specifically to the automotive industry and the development of a wide array of intelligent agent applications.
Furthermore, the plan delves into the exploration of creating vertical domain large-scale models in specialized areas such as software and intelligent R&D, intelligent process planning, and virtual debugging. Additionally, it outlines a strategy to launch the "AI+" application campaign, identifying a selection of exemplary cases showcasing innovative AI applications. A key focus of the plan is to promote the extensive use of intelligent robots in processes like welding, painting, and final assembly, with the ultimate goal of establishing embodied intelligent demonstration production lines throughout the automotive industry.
