The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in collaboration with three other governmental departments, has jointly issued the Implementation Plan for Digital Transformation in the Automotive Industry. This plan delineates specific targets to be achieved by 2027, including an elevation by one level in the Intelligent Manufacturing Capability Maturity (a measure reflecting the sophistication of intelligent manufacturing capabilities) of leading automotive manufacturers, alongside a marked enhancement in the digitalization prowess of component enterprises. It envisions a scenario where the penetration rate of research and design tools surpasses 95%, and the Numerical Control (CNC) Adoption Rate in pivotal manufacturing processes exceeds 70%. Concurrently, the plan anticipates a 10% upsurge in the industry's overall labor productivity compared to the 2025 benchmark, coupled with a 20% reduction in product development and delivery timelines. Furthermore, the plan envisages the creation of replicable and scalable smart factory paradigms, the nurturing of over 20 suppliers specializing in intelligent manufacturing system solutions tailored for the automotive industry, and the establishment of an internationally cutting-edge framework encompassing digital transformation and intelligent manufacturing standards, technology provisioning, and talent development systems, all meticulously crafted to align with the industry's unique characteristics.
