On December 30, Cui Dongshu, the Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), penned an article revealing that in November 2025, global auto sales hit 8.59 million vehicles. This figure reflected a 1% year-on-year uptick and a 1% month-on-month increment.

The growth of global auto sales experienced a slowdown that month, largely due to the comparatively sluggish expansion in the Chinese and U.S. auto markets. Over the period from January to November 2025, the cumulative global auto sales volume soared to 87.66 million units, registering a 6% year-on-year surge.

China's footprint in the global auto market continued to expand. In November, its market share soared to 40%, climbing 1 percentage point compared to the previous year. In 2024, China's auto market share stood at 34.2%. From January to November 2025, this share rose to 35.4%, marking a 1.2 percentage point increase on a year-on-year basis.
