Didi Chuxing forecasts that on December 31, influenced by a convergence of various travel demands—such as post-work commutes, New Year's Eve celebrations, intercity travel, and holiday returns—the evening rush hour for taxi-hailing services will commence as early as 3:00 PM and extend until 8:00 PM. Peak demand is anticipated to occur between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. On that day, the estimated number of taxi-hailing trips across China is projected to exceed 80 million.
