On December 23, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration stated that Toyota Motor Corporation will recall 55,405 vehicles in the United States. The recall is due to the possibility that bolts inside the inverter may not be fully tightened, leading to poor terminal contact, which could result in power loss, crashes, and the risk of electrical short circuits and fires. Remedial measures are currently being developed.
