On December 23, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Zoox, Amazon’s autonomous driving division, is recalling 332 vehicles across the United States. The recall was prompted by flaws in the Autonomous Driving System (ADS) software, which could cause vehicles to inadvertently cross the yellow center line when approaching or navigating intersections, thereby increasing the risk of a collision. Zoox has since provided a no-cost software update to address the issue for all affected vehicles.
