Recently, rumors have been swirling that Xiaomi is doling out subsidies to car dealers, with the cumulative amount soaring past 100 million yuan for stores across the nation. On December 22, staff members from Xiaomi Group stepped forward to set the record straight, confirming that this subsidy policy is exclusively tailored for 'car-integration stores.' These are unique Xiaomi outlets that double up as car dealerships, selling not just cars but also mobile phones and large home appliances.
The subsidies are being handed out in two distinct tiers: stores that spring up in 2024 will be eligible for a 100,000-yuan subsidy each; while those newly established from January 1 to December 15, 2025, will pocket a hefty 500,000-yuan subsidy each. Official figures reveal that as of November 30, Xiaomi boasts a network of 441 stores spread across 131 cities nationwide, along with 249 service outlets covering 144 cities.
