The Dongfeng R&D team has successfully surmounted significant technological barriers, culminating in the development of semi-solid battery products. Now, they are fully dedicated to achieving the mass production of all-solid-state battery technology by 2027. While reports have surfaced about the 'solid-state battery vehicle', official details regarding specific battery parameters remain under wraps. At the 2025 World Power Battery Conference, Dongfeng showcased its latest innovations: new-generation high-energy-density solid-state batteries and the Mach ultra-kilovolt pure electric platform. Currently, Dongfeng has set up and commenced operations on a 0.2GWh pilot production line for solid-state batteries. They aim to realize mass production and integrate 350Wh/kg solid-state batteries into vehicles by September 2026, extending the driving range to 1,000 kilometers. Moreover, Dongfeng is set to embark on the development of fast-charging 350Wh/kg all-solid-state batteries, with pilot deployment slated for December 2027. They are also engaged in pre-research on sulfide all-solid-state batteries boasting an energy density of up to 500Wh/kg. The performance of the new-generation, fully independent high-energy-density solid-state batteries in extreme cold conditions and safety features far outstrips that of conventional liquid ternary batteries, meeting national standards.
