On December 9, Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup made an announcement regarding the signing of a pact with the government of India's Telangana state. The plan is to invest US$3 billion in a phased manner to construct a diversified industrial ecosystem within the state. As per the agreement, both parties will join forces to delve into areas including smart city construction, electric mobility solutions, healthcare, education, tourism, renewable energy, charging infrastructure, and electric taxi services. The overarching goal is to spur socio-economic development and foster long-term growth in the state. In the realm of electric mobility, Vingroup has set its sights on launching India's inaugural large-scale electric taxi fleet and a Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform.
