On the morning of December 6th, at approximately 9 a.m., an L4 autonomous ride-hailing vehicle, specifically a Hello Robotaxi operated by HelloChuxing, was involved in a collision with pedestrians on a street in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province. The incident led to injuries sustained by two pedestrians. One of the injured individuals was momentarily trapped beneath the vehicle until being promptly rescued by bystanders at the scene.
Presently, both injured parties have been rushed to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for urgent medical attention. In response to this unfortunate event, HelloChuxing has temporarily suspended the operations of its autonomous vehicles in the affected area. The company is actively collaborating with relevant authorities to facilitate a thorough investigation into the matter.
