On December 4, 2025, Alphabet's autonomous driving division, Waymo, announced that its autonomous taxi service will begin test drives in three cities: Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis. Starting this week, Waymo will initiate manually driven tests in these three new cities, with the goal of eventually launching fully autonomous services. Currently, Waymo's services cover 26 cities across the United States.
