On September 4, reports emerged that BYD had revised its sales target for 2025 downward, from an initial projection of 5.5 million vehicles to 4.6 million, marking a 16% decrease. As of the end of August, BYD's cumulative sales stood at 2.8639 million vehicles, representing a 23% year-on-year increase and maintaining its top position among Chinese automakers in terms of sales. However, this figure translates to a target completion rate of only 52%. BYD has yet to offer an official comment on this news. Industry analysts view this adjustment as a prudent decision by BYD ahead of the peak sales season for automobiles, anticipating a positive influence on its strategic planning, supplier coordination, and marketing promotion strategies.
