On August 21, Lin Changbo, the General Manager of Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile, addressed the collision incident involving the Lixiang i8 and Chenglong trucks. He highlighted that Lixiang Auto had unauthorizedly utilized Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile's vehicles and logos for marketing purposes, potentially breaching the "Anti-Unfair Competition Law" and the "Advertising Law," amounting to false advertising. Lin Changbo underscored that Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile, as a central government-owned enterprise, adheres to industry self-discipline, will respond rationally to this matter, and maintains the right to pursue legal action. Prior to this, Lixiang Auto had issued a joint statement urging the industry to enhance self-discipline and oppose unfair competition.
