On August 23, the State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Company Limited announced the official establishment of a pricing mechanism in Jiangsu Province, enabling new energy vehicles to participate in vehicle-to-grid (V2G) interaction for discharging. This initiative seeks to propel V2G interaction into a new era of large-scale commercial operations by offering attractive discharge incentives. V2G technology allows new energy vehicles to charge and store energy during off-peak grid hours, subsequently discharging it back to the grid during peak times or as needed, effectively turning electric vehicles into mobile distributed energy storage units. The implementation of this technology holds significant potential for enhancing grid flexibility and boosting the utilization of renewable energy sources.
