Tesla has witnessed a notable decline in sales in the United Kingdom. In an effort to combat the dwindling market share, the company has recently offered approximately 40% discounts on car rentals to UK-based rental firms. Statistics reveal that Tesla's sales in the UK plummeted to 987 units in July, marking a year-on-year decrease of roughly 60%, whereas the overall new car sales in the UK only dipped by approximately 5%. Furthermore, Tesla intends to venture into the electricity market and has submitted an application for an electricity supply license to the UK energy regulatory authority, with the goal of providing electricity services to UK households.
