Apple announces its intention to elevate its total investment in the United States to a staggering $600 billion over the next four years, with the aim of fostering advanced manufacturing and generating numerous job opportunities. This $100 billion increment brings Apple's initial commitment of $500 billion to an impressive $600 billion. To achieve this, Apple will forge collaborations with ten leading manufacturing firms, including Corning, Texas Instruments, and Samsung. Notably, Apple will allocate $2.5 billion to strengthen its partnership with Corning, constructing the world's largest and most technologically advanced production line for smartphone-grade materials in Kentucky. This line will be dedicated to the manufacturing of cover glass for iPhones and Apple Watches. Additionally, both parties will establish the "Apple-Corning Innovation Center," dedicated to the research and development of cutting-edge materials and manufacturing technologies.
