Recently, Youhap News TV reported a high-profile theft incident where a truck laden with a substantial quantity of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones was stolen in the vicinity of London Heathrow Airport. The shipment also comprised 5,000 Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatches and earlier models like the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy A16 series, amounting to approximately 12,000 devices with a total estimated value of RMB 68,801,000. It is presumed that the theft occurred during the transfer of the shipment to a warehouse upon its arrival at the airport. The British police swiftly initiated an investigation and located the stolen container, though it remains uncertain whether any of the Samsung products have been retrieved. Considering the premium value and exclusivity of foldable phones, insiders posit that this could be an act of organized crime.
