On August 4, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission disclosed the proposed projects under the 'Technological Support for Elderly Care' category within the 2025 High-Quality Development Plan for the Technology Industry. These projects encompass a diverse range of domains, encompassing flexible wearable device-driven multi-system chronic disease monitoring and early warning for seniors, robots for assessing and intervening in cognitive impairment in the elderly leveraging domestic large models, intelligent cloud platform-based humanoid robot systems for elderly care, integrated bed-chair intelligent care robots, and soft exoskeleton robots designed to assist the lower limbs of the elderly. The overarching goal of these initiatives is to elevate the quality and efficiency of elderly care services through groundbreaking technological advancements.
