As per Apple's official announcement, the iPhone Duo now boasts compatibility with the Apple Pencil for the very first time. However, this feature is restricted to the Apple Pencil (USB-C) variant, and users must establish an initial connection through a USB-C cable for pairing. In contrast to the well-established stylus capabilities found on the iPad, the iPhone Duo's support for the Apple Pencil is somewhat constrained. While its 7.6-inch internal display does offer a degree of convenience for handwritten notes and drawing, the current method of pairing still presents a certain level of inconvenience.
