On October 22, 1818 Golden Eye reported an incident involving Ms. Zheng from Shangyu, Shaoxing. On October 14, Ms. Zheng bought a Redmi phone for her father at a Xiaomi Home store, paying 1,699.15 yuan after availing the national subsidy. From the following day, she began receiving numerous text messages notifying her that she had been added to a family network and enrolled in the 'Blood Pressure Treasure' program. This program included a complimentary blood pressure monitor and 2GB of monthly data, all for a monthly fee of 10 yuan, with a contractual commitment spanning 24 months. Ms. Zheng asserted that the store employees failed to inform her about this program or the duration of the contract. Initially, the employees claimed they had simply "forgotten to mention it." Subsequently, the store manager stated that communication had indeed occurred and suggested there might have been a misunderstanding, further adding that the program had since been canceled. Both parties remained firm in their respective accounts of the events.
