TP-Link (Lianzhou International) revealed in a statement that it has inked a letter of intent with Key Tronic, a U.S.-based electronics manufacturer, to commence router assembly in Corinth, Mississippi. The initial batch of products will encompass Wi-Fi 8 home networking devices. Both parties anticipate initiating assembly operations as early as 2027, contingent upon obtaining approval from U.S. regulatory authorities. Previously, in reaction to the import embargo enforced by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), TP-Link put forth a $1 billion investment proposal in the U.S. to obtain 'conditional clearance' for its forthcoming Wi-Fi 8 routers to penetrate the U.S. market.
