Apple has officially announced that it will be hosting a product launch event on October 28. On Monday, the company extended invitations to the media and analysts for an event themed "Apple Experience in Los Angeles." The invitation's tagline, "Pro and tell," hints at a focus on premium "Pro" devices equipped with Apple's proprietary chips. Ben Reitzes, an analyst at Melius Research, speculated in a Monday report that Apple is set to unveil new Mac models this fall, with the possibility of introducing a touchscreen laptop. He pointed out that for John Ternus, who took over as CEO from Tim Cook last month, this launch schedule marks a "notable departure" from the traditional biannual event setup.
