On October 15, news broke that a year after acquiring the startup Bee, Amazon has rolled out two wearable devices. These devices harness the power of artificial intelligence to document and scrutinize users' daily routines, in a bid to revamp its product offerings and carve out a niche in the burgeoning AI hardware sector.
Among these offerings, the Bee Frontier represents an enhanced iteration of the initial smart bracelet, retailing at $75. It boasts a lighter, more compact build, and is waterproof. Much like its predecessor, which was priced at $50, this novel gadget can chronicle users' activities throughout the day and convert them into textual format. It also has the capability to summarize conversations and compile to-do lists within the accompanying app. The product comes in three hues: lavender purple, sage green, and onyx black. With a battery life spanning seven days, it is currently up for grabs in the United States.
Another fresh addition to the lineup is the Bee Eclipse, which sports a card-like design that can be magnetically affixed to the rear of a phone or carried independently. Priced starting at $100, it is available in four colors and boasts a battery life exceeding 21 days. The specific release date for this product remains undisclosed.
