On October 15, TrendForce released its latest report, which reveals that AR glasses are making a significant leap from the proof-of-concept phase into the consumer market. In particular, Meta's Ray-Ban Display Glasses have demonstrated remarkable performance, far surpassing market expectations. This success has not only piqued consumers' interest in AR glasses but also motivated brands and supply chains to expedite their product strategies.
Buoyed by the triumph of Meta's offerings, other AR glasses brands are aggressively broadening their product ranges and market reach, aiming to capitalize on the window of opportunity before tech behemoths fully penetrate the market and to satisfy consumers' craving for novel AR glasses experiences. TrendForce anticipates that global shipments of AR glasses will soar from 620,000 units in 2025 to 1.31 million units in 2026, representing a staggering year-on-year growth rate of 111.1%.
