As reported by Nikkei Asia, on September 7, 2026, Huawei officially launched its cutting-edge triple-folding smartphone, the Mate XT2 Ultimate Design. This smartphone stands out as the first to be powered by Huawei's self-developed Kirin 9050 Pro chip, which boasts independently developed CPU, GPU, NPU, and communication baseband technologies. International media outlets have highlighted that this marks Huawei's first triple-folding smartphone to feature a core chip that is "unencumbered by U.S. supply constraints."

The Mate XT2 showcases an innovative U-shaped dual inward folding mechanism, with a body thickness of a mere 3.5mm. When unfolded, it becomes the thinnest and largest folding screen smartphone in the market. The device also comes pre-installed with the official version of HarmonyOS 7 and offers three elegant color options: Mystic Black, Pure White, and Silk Purple. Standard models are available in 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB configurations, while the Silk Purple variant offers a 16GB+2TB stylus package and includes a Flex Shield privacy screen as standard.

Moreover, the Mate XT2 is equipped with a next-generation multispectral imaging system, integrated photoelectric sensors in the rear camera module, a 6000mAh high-silicon anode dual-cell battery, and supports various fast-charging technologies.
