On August 7, the Investment Review Committee of Samsung Display gave the green light to the construction blueprint for the primary structure of the brand-new A7 factory located in Asan, South Chungcheong Province. The construction of this factory was initially put on hold in 2021. However, as of now, the plan is to kick off the procurement process this month, begin the actual construction in 2027, and have it fully completed by early 2028. This move is strategically aimed at catering to the burgeoning market demands, particularly those arising from the popularity of foldable smartphones.
