Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, revealed during an earnings call that Xiaomi’s full-sized humanoid robot, towering at approximately 1.7 meters, is poised to make its much-anticipated public debut at the upcoming World Robot Conference, scheduled from August 19 to 23, 2026. Lu Weibing underscored the importance of focusing on practical applications within the robotics industry, highlighting smart manufacturing factory production lines as a primary area of application. From a technological standpoint, Xiaomi places significant emphasis on optimizing the robot's size and enhancing the versatility of its models. The Xiaomi robot is designed to seamlessly integrate and collaborate with the broader ecosystem, encompassing humans, vehicles, and homes, thereby covering a wide range of scenarios, including smart factories, intelligent mobility solutions, and household environments. In July of this year, Lei Jun disclosed that Xiaomi’s robot had already undergone a successful four-month “internship” at an automotive factory, during which it demonstrated improved task success rates and expanded its capabilities to new scenarios and roles.
