The German competition regulatory authority has wrapped up its probe into Apple. Apple has pledged to modify, within a span of four months, the privacy consent pop-up windows for third-party apps on the iOS system. This modification involves the removal of discouraging language and symbols, while preserving the neutrality of the visual language employed. Concurrently, third-party developers will gain the permission to present pertinent consent requests alongside other data protection consent prompts. This commitment is set to endure for seven years, with its implementation being overseen by a trustee. The scope of these adjustments encompasses nearly all EU member states.
