On Wednesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook, accompanied by government dignitaries such as U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, graced the opening ceremony of a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Houston, Texas. Apple announced that this facility will commence the production of Mac Mini desktop computers later in the year. Moreover, certain sections of the factory are already engaged in assembling AI servers intended for Apple's internal operations. Notably, Cook is currently in the twilight weeks of his tenure as CEO. Come September 1, he will assume the position of executive chairman of the board, with Apple's seasoned hardware executive, John Ternus, stepping in to take the helm as the new CEO.
