Following a protracted six-year legal battle, the contentious dispute between Apple and Epic Games has entered a pivotal new phase. This Thursday, Apple presented to the court a proposed commission structure for transactions conducted outside the App Store ecosystem. Under this plan, developers would be subject to a commission rate fluctuating between 5% and 15%, with standard applications incurring a 15% fee and those from small businesses facing a reduced 5% rate. Epic Games has vehemently rejected this proposal, asserting its intention to appeal any commission rate exceeding 0%.
