On July 7, news emerged indicating that Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. had updated its recruitment information on July 6, revealing plans to hire an "Input Method Android Development Expert." The goal is to construct a fully self-developed input method system from scratch. This comprehensive system will include essential components such as a user-experience (UX) interaction framework for the client side, input engines (covering voice, keyboard, and handwriting functionalities), end-to-cloud synchronization for personalized dictionaries, along with optimizations for latency and power consumption.

The job criteria outline that applicants must possess a demonstrated track record in developing intricate client-side UI/UX interaction frameworks independently. Candidates with prior development experience in widely-used input methods, such as Sogou, Baidu, iFlytek, Huawei, and Xiaomi, will be given preference. Presently, Honor smartphones come pre-loaded with the Honor-branded version of the Baidu Input Method.
